The struggle to help my mum increase sales in her small provision business became a deciding factor in my career choice. As a 16 year old, all I ever thought of while at my mum’s shop was
1) Must I be physically here before we can make any sales? (I hated staying in the shop 🥹)
2) What strategies and channels can she leverage to get more customers?
These questions were all I ever thought of as a young teenager. I came across Linda Ikeji in 2013/14 and I was amazed as to how you can amass such followership (potential customers) without leaving the comfort of your home.
I started Kemmiey’s blog (https://kemmieys.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html?m=1) in 2016 with zero writing skill, zero niche, zero anything you could think 🤔 of, all I wanted was to understand how to reach people virtually. As you can tell, it was an epic fail, but what I got from that experience is a list of strategies to NEVER 👎 try.
2019 I got a scholarship to study International Business and Cross boarder E-commerce at the No. 1 business school in Beijing, China 🇨🇳.
2022 I helped build Derma Essentials, an online skincare business in Nigeria.
After running Derma Essentials successfully for 6 months and generating over 5m in monthly sales.
